Job summary

Centre People Appointments BV is seeking a Service Technician to support customers across the Netherlands. The role covers troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair of bioprocess equipment, with remote work and strong English communication required.

The ideal candidate has hands-on technical experience in electrical, mechanical, automation or electronics, and is capable of training dealers and service technicians.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, automation or electronics.
• Experience repairing electrical and mechanical equipment and reading schematics.
• Strong English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.
• Ability to install, test and troubleshoot equipment post-delivery.

Job description

A company specialising in bioreactors, shaking incubators, and bioprocess software for research and development is currently recruiting a Service Technician to support customers across the Netherlands.

The role will involve troubleshooting, functional testing, installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, as well as providing technical support and training to dealers and service technicians.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on technical experience, with competence in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, and electronics. Strong English is essential, while Dutch is a significant advantage.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and technical support following equipment delivery
• Troubleshoot equipment, carry out functional testing, and support advanced use of equipment
• Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate technical solutions
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment in accordance with GMP guidelines
• Provide internal and external training for dealers and service technicians
• Assist with the creation of service manuals

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working in a technician or service technician role
• Experience in biotechnology or a related industry is advantageous
• Competence in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, and electronics
• Experience repairing electrical and mechanical equipment
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical equipment
• Understanding of computer-based automation systems and computer network configuration
• Basic knowledge of fluid mechanics, chemistry, and biotechnological processes
• Strong customer focus and communication skills
• Strong English communication skills; Dutch is a significant advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Conditions

• Location: Netherlands, ideally around Ranstadt, Delft, Leiden, Utrecht, The Hague, or Rotterdam
• Working Style: fully remote
• Job Type: 1-year fixed-term contract (renewal subject to performance)
• Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week
• Start: on or before the start of January 2027
