Job summary

Mase Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer / Maintenance Technician to support pharmaceutical customers across the Netherlands. You will operate a home-based role with travel to customer sites and occasional installations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in service engineering on complex equipment, fluent English and Dutch, and a mechanical skillset. A valid driving license and right to work in the Netherlands are required; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote service for pharmaceutical equipment in the Netherlands.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, fault finding and repair on complex machinery.
• Attend occasional installation, commissioning and user training.
• Coordinate with engineering planner for scheduling service visits.
• Prepare service visit reports documenting work performed.

Ready for your calling? This specialist equipment manufacturer is searching for a well-rounded Field Service Engineer / Service Technician to support their pharmaceutical customers in the Netherlands.

About The Role

As a Field Service Engineer / Service Technician you will work from a home office and be responsible for:

• Operating in an 80% mechanical and 20% electrical role.
• Working within a service engineering team supporting pharmaceutical manufacturers in the Netherlands.
• Attending a low number of customer calls as each case can be extremely complicated and time consuming.
• On rare occasions operating as part of an installation team to complete new equipment installations, commissioning and user training.
• Working to preventative maintenance and installation work which is often booked 2-3 months in advance, whilst also reacting to more pressing breakdowns and repairs.
• Working with the engineering planner to coordinate activities and movements.
• Conducting routine service and calibration work, alongside more reactive maintenance, including fault finding, problem resolution and repair.
• Completing service visit reports.

About You

The successful candidate will possess at least 2 years of service engineering / technician experience, gained working on complex equipment, which could include but not limited to, Automated Pharmaceutical Production Equipment, Robotics, Automated Scientific Equipment, Food & Beverage Processing, Logistics Automation, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Metalworking Equipment or other high value complex equipment.

Candidates must speak advanced English and Dutch and be multiskilled with a mechanical focus. You must be comfortable travelling in the Netherlands and spending nights away from home when needed. On occasions travel outside of the Netherlands may be required should other regions require additional engineering support.

A degree level education is beneficial but not essential, as is experience working in a cleanroom or sterile environment.

It is, however, essential you have a logical and methodical approach to finding faults and be comfortable working on high value automated machinery.

A valid local driving license is required, as is the right to work in the Netherlands. My client doesn’t offer sponsorship.
