Job Description

For our client in Boxmeer, we are looking for a GMP Bioprocess Manufacturing Technician. This role focuses on executing and coordinating day-to-day bioprocessing activities in a high-tech manufacturing environment, including operating bioreactors and supporting upstream and downstream production steps. The GMP Bioprocess Manufacturing Technician ensures accurate documentation, follows strict procedures, and actively contributes to safe and compliant production.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production activities, including media preparation and process set-up before each run.
• Execute bioprocessing tasks in a complex production environment, such as:

Cell culture and virus culture

• Operating and monitoring bioreactors/fermentors (including single-use and stainless-steel systems)
• Running centrifuges, filtration systems, vessels, and supporting utilities
• Supporting steps such as inactivation where applicable

• Record all actions accurately and complete batch documentation in line with GMP requirements.
• Work strictly according to procedures and safety rules (GMP and EHS), and maintain high quality standards.
• Recognise deviations in the process, elevate them in a timely way, and support correct documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise processes, workflows, and documentation.
• Share knowledge and support colleagues through training-on-the-job when needed.
• Participate in project teams focused on improving production and supporting processes.

Requirements

• Completed vocational education (MBO) level 3 or 4, preferably in Biotechnology, Process Technology, or a similar field.
• Interest in and willingness to work in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
• A hands-on mindset and the ability to work accurately and consistently under strict procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and compliance.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Willingness to support on-call duties and occasional weekend work (with potential for shifted schedules in the future).
• Temporary Full-Time contract (6 Months)

Other Information

The GMP Bioprocess Manufacturing Technician will mainly work in day shift, within classified production areas and under strict quality and safety conditions. The team environment is collaborative, hands-on, and focused on continuous improvement.
