Job summary

E&D Recruiters is seeking a Service Technician in the Netherlands to maintain electrical systems and oversee mechanical installations on site. The role requires hands-on maintenance, fault finding on MCCs, VSDs, pumps, fans, and HVAC equipment, with a focus on electrical safety and system reliability.

Experience needed includes 5+ years post-qualification in electrical and 3+ years in maintenance/breakdown work without a supervisor.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade, trade test passed: Electrician (Red Seal) or equivalent.
• 5+ years after qualifying with 3+ years of maintenance/breakdown work without a supervisor.
• Strong hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems (pumps, fans, HVAC, hydraulics).
• Reading drawings, MCCs and DBs; safe isolation procedures; fault-finding on motors, starters and VSDs.

Responsibilities

• Preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including power supply, lighting, control systems, signalling and communication.
• Mechanical installations (drives, hydraulics, pumps) and hands-on work around the site.
• Plan work with the client, order materials, and coordinate subcontractors for larger jobs.

Minimum requirements and experience

Technical Skills: (Electrical) Reading drawings, MCCs, and DBs, safe isolation Motors, starters, VSDs: replace, set up, fault-find PLC: read online to trace a signal (no programming) Instruments: pressure, temp, level, flow Multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester (Mechanical) Pumps, fans, compressors: bearings, seals, alignment Motors, starters, VSDs: replace, set up, fault-find Heating, heat pumps, cooling, water systems Hydraulics and pneumatics Basic pipe repair (no coded welding needed) Responsibilities: Preventive and corrective maintenance mostly on electrical systems: power supply, lighting, control systems, signalling and communication. Mechanical installations (drives, hydraulics, pumps) and practical work around the site. First line for every fault; calls in the second line or the system supplier when needed. Maintenance and repair of installations and the building management system: ventilation, heat pumps, drinking water, emergency lighting, fire alarm.
