Job summary

TOPdesk in Delft, Netherlands, is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to drive user insight across product areas and to partner with UX Designers, Product Managers and Engineers in NL, DE and HU. You will own research direction, design studies, and synthesize insights to inform strategies and improve user experiences.

You will mentor researchers, advance ResearchOps, and responsibly evaluate AI-driven techniques while ensuring findings are actionable and closely aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX research experience (mid/senior).
• Led complex end-to-end UX studies with multiple stakeholders.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in HCI, Psychology, or related field; equivalent experience.
• Independent handling of complex research challenges with multiple studies.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative methods and when to apply them.
• Mentor researchers and improve shared research practices/workflows.
• Integrate AI tools into workflows with quality checks.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Fluent English (C1); German or Dutch (C1) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own research direction across one or more product domains, identifying knowledge gaps and turning them into study plans.
• Design and execute complex qualitative and quantitative research independently.
• Synthesize insights across multiple studies to surface patterns and opportunities.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations that guide product direction.
• Collaborate with product teams and management on implications and trade-offs.
• Provide feedback to junior researchers and review their work for quality.
• Improve research practices and ResearchOps activities within the team.
• Evaluate new research methods and AI-supported techniques responsibly.
• Engage stakeholders to communicate findings and build research maturity.
