Job summary

Van Lanschot Kempen is seeking a motivated UX Research intern to join the Design & Research team. You will conduct user research and help improve user experiences across client projects, collaborating with senior designers and researchers.

The role requires 32–40 hours weekly for at least five months, with a strong emphasis on UX methods, tooling (Sketch/Figma), and AI-enabled design processes. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, start-up–like DIA environment.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in UX-related field.
Strong interest in UX research methodologies and real practice in industry.
Strong understanding of UX principles and design tools such as Sketch or Figma.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with senior designers and researchers.
Proven interest in AI tools to accelerate or improve the design process.
A portfolio highlighting design work and thought process.
People-minded and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the UX team to design and develop wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes for the product teams.
Assist in usability testing and user feedback sessions.
Create research agents.
Aid in developing internal research repositories.
Keep up to date with design trends, tools, and technologies including AI.
