Job summary

Wlgroup in The Hague seeks a senior technician to join an on-site service team. You will own ICT end systems, the servers behind them, and the network paths between them, taking immediate action when a ticket cannot wait.

Responsibilities include installing, configuring and retiring systems, monitoring resources and failures, maintaining network components, providing second-line resolution on a rotating schedule, and supporting on-site engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Strong track record maintaining ICT end systems in a large, security-conscious organisation.
• Server and storage work: hosting platforms, disk/controller config, redundancy.
• Network fault-finding (TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, firewall, DNS) and remote server administration.
• Log analysis and packet capture as a habit; scripting in Python and/or shell.
• ITIL training, professional English, and on-call temperament.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and retire systems and software; verify installations and document asset locations.
• Monitor systems for resource use and failures; tune them and test new software with fall-back.
• Maintain and configure network components; diagnose faults with proper methods and tools.
• Provide second-line resolution on a rotating on-call schedule beyond office hours.
• Support engineering changes to the service—design, test and on-site work alongside operations.
