Job summary

WLG in The Hague is seeking a senior ICT technician to manage on-site end systems, servers, and the network paths that connect them. You will take immediate action when tickets cannot wait, ensuring systems remain available and secure.

You will install, monitor, tune, and upgrade systems, maintain networks, perform log analysis and packet captures, and provide second-line support on a rotating schedule, including after-hours work. Excellent English and ITIL training are valued.

Qualifications

• Proven track record maintaining ICT end systems in a large, security-conscious organisation.
• Experience with server/storage hosting platforms and redundancy.
• Network fault-finding across TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, DNS.
• Log analysis and packet capture habit; scripting in Python or shell.
• ITIL training, professional English, and on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring and retiring systems and software, proving each installation works and recording locations.
• Monitoring operational systems for resource use and failures, tuning and rolling out updates with fall-back.
• Maintaining and configuring network components, diagnosing faults with proper methods and tools.
• Providing second-line resolution against agreed targets on a rota that covers after-hours.
• Supporting engineering change to the service including design, test and on-site work.
