Job summary

Oceanco, based in the Netherlands, is seeking a Lead Engineer Systems to join a pivotal project team responsible for delivering luxury yachts. You will guide engineering interfaces, ensure drawings and specifications meet standards, and drive timely, high-quality output across disciplines.

You will work with partners in aligned co-makership and organize work to meet deadlines. A minimum of 5 years in ship/superyacht engineering and a strong Systems background are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• MBO level 4 or HBO/Bachelor's degree related to the discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within ship/superyacht building industry.
• Proven in-depth knowledge and experience related to Systems.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications, AutoCAD and/or Rhinoceros.
• Strong analytical, planning, organizing and persuasiveness competencies.

Responsibilities

• Review and discuss Project Development information and work demarcation during the pre-building process.
• Monitor quality of engineering work and correct interfacing between disciplines.
• Ensure timely plan drawings and technical specifications in compliance with Building Specifications and standards.
• Review and approve engineering documentation and initiate corrective measures for complex problems.
• Collaborate with Partners in aligned co-makership to realise synergies.
• Organise work to achieve goals on time.
