Job summary

Oceanco, based in the Netherlands at our Alblasserdam facility, is seeking an Engineering Coordinator for Electrical & Automation. You will realise engineering output and documentation in time for the assigned discipline, reporting to the Project Manager Engineering.

You will supervise document availability, develop schedules, coordinate with authorities, owners representatives, designers and subcontractors, and lead a team of in-house professionals toward timely project completion.

Qualifications

• HBO / Bachelor's degree related to the discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in ship/superyacht building industry.
• Proven knowledge in Electrical & Automation discipline.
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and/or Rhinoceros.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure availability of all engineering documents for Electrical & Automation.
• Develop detailed planning and delivery schedule for engineering documentation; liaise with manager, authorities, designers and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely and accurate information flow internally and externally.

As anEngineering Coordinator Electrical & Automation, you are part of one of our inspiring project teams that realize our yachts. You realize the required engineering output (documentation and specifications) in time for the assigned technical discipline - Electrical & Automation. You report to the Project Manager Engineering.

What will your challenges be?

• Supervise and realize in time the availability of all engineering documents of the technical discipline - Electrical & Automation
• Develop a detailed planning and delivery schedule for engineering documentation in close cooperation with your manager and involved third parties. You act as first point of contact for Regulatory Authorities, Owner’s Representative, Designers and Subcontractors to monitor day-to-day progress and alignment of engineering work. You solve upcoming planning and progress problems and adjust and align all parties involved. You instruct third parties about standards and working methods. You ensure a timely and accurate information flow, both internally and externally
• Be result-oriented in your approach and plan and organize the work in such a way that goals are achieved in time
• You work closely together in aligned co-makership with our Partners and see and realize possible synergies based on your expertise and mutual respect
• Lead, develop and motivate functionally assigned team of subordinate in-house professionals

What do we ask for?

• HBO / Bachelor's degree related to the due discipline
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ship/superyacht building industry
• Proven in-depth knowledge and experience in Electrical & Automation discipline
• Experienced in leading and developing Engineering teams
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications, AutoCad and/or Rhinoceros
• You recognize yourself in the following competences:Customer orientation, Helicopter view, Decisiveness, Persuasiveness
