Job summary
Daifuku Airport Netherlands is seeking a Senior Technical Buyer to go beyond day-to-day purchasing and act as a strategic partner for the organization and its suppliers. You will work across engineering, commerce, and international collaboration to shape procurement strategy and deliver complex projects.
You will own the procurement domain, lead negotiations, and develop supplier strategies while balancing quality, cost, and risk.
Qualifications
- HBO-level education and at least 5 years in a technical procurement environment.
- Experience with strategic purchasing, international sourcing, and contract management.
- Strong leadership, proactive mindset, and excellent negotiation skills.
- Affinity with technology and complex systems; strong analytical abilities.
Responsibilities
- Own the entire procurement domain and drive results.
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans and supplier strategies.
- Lead complex international negotiations and contract processes.
- Build sustainable partnerships with suppliers and drive cost improvements.
- Improve processes, cost structures, and collaboration across functions.
- Act as a sparring partner for Engineering, Project Management, and Supply Chain.
- Evaluate quality, cost, delivery time, and risk in sourcing decisions.
- Identify market developments and translate them into strategic actions.
