Job summary

dsm-firmenich is seeking a Senior Buyer Manufacturing & Laboratory (m/f/d) to lead indirect procurement across Opex and Capex, supporting multiple manufacturing and laboratory sites in the Netherlands. You will develop regional sourcing strategies, manage supplier relations, and drive value through rigorous negotiations and contract management.

The role requires a technical or business degree and 5+ years in procurement or manufacturing, with strong Dutch and English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field with 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Manufacturing or a technical business environment.
• Project management experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key procurement partner for Manufacturing and Laboratory sites, ensuring stakeholder engagement across functions.
• Develop and execute local and regional sourcing strategies for Indirect Manufacturing, Opex and Capex in collaboration with Category Managers.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier selection, tendering, negotiations, contracting and supplier management.
• Drive compliance, contract management, Procure-to-Pay (P2P) excellence and transparent savings reporting.
• Facilitate structured decision-making and stakeholder alignment in a dynamic environment.
