Job summary

SmartSD in Breda is seeking a Buyer who manages procurement across multiple suppliers and stock availability, collaborating with Purchasing, Product Management and Sales to optimize processes.

You will maintain supplier relationships, place orders, monitor deliveries and analyze performance to ensure reliable supply. This role offers an international, growing company with a competitive salary and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• A completed MBO/HBO degree in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management.
• Excellent command of French (C1–C2) and English, with professional Dutch proficiency (B2–C1).
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Proactive and able to work independently.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
• Eager to develop skills in procurement and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with assigned suppliers.
• Place purchase orders and monitor deliveries to ensure timely delivery.
• Analyse supplier delivery performance and implement corrective measures.
• Monitor the ageing of products in stock.
• Coordinate advance delivery notifications with the external warehouse.
• Implement improvements to the procurement process and contribute to efficiency.
• Support identification of potential cost savings and process improvements.
