Job summary

Science [&] Technology Corporation in Delft seeks a Senior Space System Engineer to lead the development of our onboard computing platform for Earth observation missions.

You will define and manage requirements, perform system-level trade-offs, assess risks, and guide integration, testing, verification and validation activities across multidisciplinary teams of FPGA, embedded, electronics and mechanical engineers, aiming for ECSS-compliant, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience with system engineering practices and processes.
• Knowledge of satellite operations and onboard data processing is desirable.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electronics, FPGA & embedded engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage system requirements based on stakeholder input.
• Perform trade-off analyses at system level with System Architect.
• Conduct technical risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Support system integration, tests, verification, and validation.
• Develop and maintain system engineering documentation (ICDs, plans, reports).
• Research industry standards such as ECSS and ensure compliance.
• Support and guide colleagues in system engineering activities.
