S&T in Delft is seeking a Senior Space System Engineer to lead system engineering for our first-generation onboard processing platform. You define requirements, manage trade-offs, and guide cross-disciplinary teams across hardware and software for aerospace missions.
You will collaborate with system architects, FPGA, embedded and electronics engineers to deliver high‑performance, space‑qualified products, while aligning with ECSS standards and security clearance requirements.
We are currently looking for a Senior Space SystemEngineer to join our team in Delft.
As Earth observation missions continue to demand higher-resolution sensors and increasingly intelligent payloads, the need for a new generation of onboard processing capabilities is growing rapidly. Processing data directly in space enables faster decision-making, reduces bandwidth requirements, and unlocks entirely new mission concepts. At S&T, we are developing the next generation of onboard processing platforms that combine high-performance electronics, advanced software, and AI to bring these enhanced capabilities into orbit as quickly as possible.
As a Senior Space System Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of our first-generation onboard computing platform. You will be responsible for definition and maintenance of the system engineering processes throughout the complete life cycle of the platform. Your responsibilities include managing requirements and trade-offs, conducting technical risk assessments, developing and executing methods for system integration, test, verification and validation and developing and maintaining system engineering documentation.
You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including System Architects, FPGA Engineers, Embedded Systems Engineers, Electronics Engineers and Mechanical Engineers, to develop high-performance, reliable products for demanding environments.
This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple engineering disciplines, combine technologies into innovative solutions, and make a direct impact on the development of advanced products within a dynamic, high-tech organization.
