Job summary

Amaris Consulting, part of Mantu, in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Consultant to embed in a high-tech, medical-imaging software environment. You will design and develop advanced C++ software supporting interventional procedures and 3D imaging, translating clinical needs into robust architectures.

You will lead architectural decisions, collaborate with international Agile teams, and apply modern engineering practices, SOLID, and TDD to deliver reliable clinical software.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience, incl. 3+ years in senior roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern C++, preferably C++20.
• Experience in 3D rendering, DirectX or OpenGL.
• Solid knowledge of architecture, design patterns, SOLID, Clean Architecture and TDD.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum with distributed teams.
• Git, Docker and cloud deployment know-how.
• Ability to document architecture and communicate with stakeholders.
• Experience in medical imaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance software for 3D imaging and image-guided medical applications.
• Translate roadmaps and clinical requirements into architectures and solutions.
• Own technical design decisions from prototypes through release.
• Develop efficient, maintainable and testable C++ code using modern practices.
• Apply design patterns, SOLID, Clean Architecture and TDD across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, product owners and stakeholders.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, technical reviews, planning and continuous improvement.
• Identify risks early, evaluate solutions through prototypes and support reliable software delivery.
