Job summary

Randstad Professional collaborates with Philips Image Guided Therapy Systems R&D in Best to hire a C++ Software Architect for 3D medical imaging. You will craft architectural designs, guide external teams, and ensure robust deployment on the Philips Azurion platform.

The role requires a Master’s in CS/EE/Math and 10+ years in software, with 3+ years in architecture or P.O./Staff roles, strong C++20 and 3D rendering expertise. Hybrid on-site work in Best/Eindhoven.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent discipline.
• At least 10 years in software engineering, including ≥3 years as Architect/Tech PO/Staff Engineer in Agile.
• Proven hands-on experience with C++20 and SOLID design patterns.
• Experience with 3D rendering using DirectX or OpenGL and computational geometry.

In this position, you drive the technical evolution of advanced 3D imaging applications used during interventional cardiac and vascular procedures on the Philips Azurion system. You collaborate with international multidisciplinary R&D teams and external engineering partners to turn complex clinical roadmaps into scalable software.

Your key responsibilities:

• Translate complex software roadmaps into robust architectural designs and implementation plans.
• Embed and guide external scrum teams during early prototyping and product lifecycle execution.
• Architect high-performance software utilizing modern C++ and dynamic 3D rendering engines.
• De-risk technical designs early in development to ensure seamless deployment on the Philips Azurion platform.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies to elevate engineering practices and platform delivery.

You are successful as a C++ Software Architect - 3D Medical Imaging if:

• You hold a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent discipline.
• You have at least 10 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 3 years as a Software Architect, Technical Product Owner, or Staff Engineer in an agile environment.
• You possess proven hands-on experience with C++ 20, modern Clean Architecture principles, TDD, and SOLID design patterns.
• You have demonstrated experience with 3D rendering using DirectX or OpenGL and computational geometry algorithms.
