Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant Software Architect (F/M/X) for the Best, NL area to join a high‑tech innovation environment focused on interventional procedures.

You will design and develop high‑performance software for 3D imaging, translate roadmaps into robust software architectures, and own technical design decisions from prototype to release, collaborating with international Agile teams.

Qualifications

• > MSc degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Eng or related field.
• > 10+ years in professional software development, incl. 3+ years as Architect/Staff/Principal/Technical Product Owner.
• > Strong hands-on experience with modern C++, preferably C++20.
• > Knowledge of 3D rendering, DirectX/OpenGL, computational geometry, or 3D visualization.
• > Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID, Clean Architecture and TDD.
• > Experience developing high-performance software and writing maintainable code.
• > Experience in Agile/Scrum with distributed/external teams.
• > Knowledge of Git/GitHub, packaging, configuration management, Docker, orchestration, cloud tech and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance software for 3D imaging and image-guided medical applications.
• Translate product roadmaps and clinical requirements into clear software architectures and technical solutions.
• Take ownership of technical design decisions, from prototypes through product development and release.
• Develop efficient, maintainable and testable C++ code using modern software engineering practices.
• Apply design patterns, SOLID, Clean Architecture and TDD across the software lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external development partners, product owners and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, technical reviews, development planning and continuous improvement.
• Identify technical risks early, evaluate solutions through prototypes and support reliable clinical software.
