Job summary

Essense in Amsterdam seeks a Senior Service Designer to map insights across customer experience, translate insights into opportunities, and co-create service concepts with stakeholders. You will orchestrate backstage processes and hand over to UX/UI designers, facilitating workshops and guiding projects with leadership and empathy.

The role requires 6+ years in service design, a strong portfolio, and the ability to advise clients on the best approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Service, Industrial or Interaction Design.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience, preferably at an agency.
• Passion for making complex situations insightful.
• Analytical and creative with empathic ability and strong communication.
• Experience applying service design methods such as stakeholder maps, journey maps, service scenarios, service blueprints.
• Strong portfolio showing work and results across projects.
• Ability to provide pro-active advice on optimal approaches to goals.
• Capability to plan, manage and execute service design projects, including leadership and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Map insights and foresight across the customer experience.
• Make complex information transparent and visual across the client organisation.
• Translate insights into opportunities, concepts and solutions.
• Co-create with stakeholders to shape propositions and service concepts.
• Orchestrate backstage processes and frontstage touchpoints for end-to-end service experience.
• Ensure smooth handover of concepts to UX/UI designers.
• Facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions.
• Act as thought partner for client with curiosity and CX market awareness.
• Inspire colleagues and advance Essense and clients through craft and vision.
