Job summary

Service Design Jobs in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Service Designer to design end-to-end services with a strong commercial focus. You will partner with new business and account managers, shape pitches, and convince stakeholders of the impact of well-designed services.

Your role

As a Senior Service Designer , you are responsible for designing end-to-end services and experiences for our clients. What makes this role unique is the strong commercial component. You form a crucial tandem with our new business and account managers. You frequently accompany them to potential clients, help shape pitches with rock-solid content, and guide stakeholders to convince them of the impact of a well-designed service.

In addition to this leading commercial role, you actively participate in execution. When you are not at the table for acquisition, you dive deep as a hands-on UXer and work on ongoing projects. You guide design processes from start to finish and are the main point of contact for both the client and the team. Within Dawn Technology, in this varied role, you work closely with UX researchers, developers, business consultants, and, of course, your sales colleagues.

What you will be doing:

• Actively contribute to building new business by supporting sales and account managers with client meetings and pitching design value at executive level.
• Designing wireframes, interactive prototypes, and handling executive UX work within our ongoing client projects.
• Setting up and conducting qualitative and quantitative research to clearly map out needs, behavior, and bottlenecks.
• Translating research into customer journeys, service blueprints, and concepts that are usable for both stakeholders and development teams.
• Leading strategic design workshops and co-creation sessions with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Guiding and coaching junior and mid-level designers to improve the overall quality of our designs and working methods.

Requirements

Who are you?

You are a strategic thinker with a strong commercial instinct . With a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree background and 7 to 10 years of experience in service and UX design (preferably in an agency or consultancy environment), you know better than anyone how to ‘sell’ the value of design and execute it successfully. You understand the dynamics of large organizations and can independently steer impactful projects. You master methods such as journey mapping, service blueprinting, and context mapping, and work effortlessly with tools like Figma.

Thanks to your strong communication skills , you switch smoothly between management during a sales process and multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum teams during execution. You can take the lead independently as well as adapt within a team, and you speak and write fluent Dutch and English . A rock-solid portfolio not only showcases impressive results but, above all, demonstrates how you tackle complex, organization-wide issues.
