Job summary

QuantWare, Delft, is seeking a Senior Quantum Algorithm Engineer to map enterprise use cases to quantum algorithms and lead resource estimation frameworks. You will work within the Product Development team, focusing on practical quantum applications and hardware-aligned software development.

The role requires a PhD and 5+ years in quantum algorithm development and hardware-aware workflows. Expect a hybrid work setup with a commitment to advancing quantum computing in collaboration with hardware

Qualifications

PhD in Quantum Computing, Computer Science or Quantum Information Science.
5+ years post-degree experience in quantum algorithms or applications.
Deep expertise in quantum algorithms and resource estimation.
Experience with circuit compilation and quantum error correction.
Experience in hardware-aware quantum workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate quantum computing applications by mapping real-world use cases to quantum algorithms.
Develop frameworks to resource-estimate circuit execution for hardware requirements.
Lead automation for application mapping and resource estimation.
Collaborate with Quantum Hardware and Systems Engineering teams on hardware specs.
Stay up-to-date with academic and industry developments in quantum algorithms.
