Job summary

QuantWare in Delft is seeking a Senior System Architect to lead the development of parameterized full-stack quantum computer blueprints and MBSE tooling within the Product Development team. You will collaborate with partners to align hardware and software for QPUs, covering RF, cryogenics, and HPC integration.

The role requires 8+ years in complex systems engineering, strong MBSE experience, and deep hardware domain knowledge. A hybrid work setup and generous pension are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in complex systems engineering, system modeling, or multi-disciplinary hardware architecture.
• Demonstrated experience with MBSE methodologies in novel systems (SysML, Python-based digital twin frameworks, or custom MBSE tools).
• Hardware domain expertise with chip-based architectures, RF signal chains, temperature gradients, in aerospace/defense/HPC/semiconductor contexts.
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to take ownership from day one.

Responsibilities

• System Blueprinting & Co-Design: Architect parameterized full-stack quantum computer blueprints and work with partners to co-design systems around QPUs.
• MBSE Tool Development: Own the development and implementation of MBSE tooling and model structure, collaborating with software teams.
• Component Libraries: Build and maintain standardized component libraries aligning with system models and manage interface requirements and risks.
• HPC-Quantum Interfacing: Define hardware-software interfaces bridging HPC schedulers with QPU calibration/control layers.
• Ecosystem Alignment: Identify and resolve gaps between QPUs and third-party components with Ecosystem Managers.
