Job summary

Wypoon Technologies BV is seeking an experienced Python Software Engineer to build scalable back-end solutions for Dutch and Belgian clients. You will join a cross-functional DevOps team delivering microservices, APIs, and distributed systems, with a focus on testing, performance optimization, and robust architecture.

The role requires 8+ years of professional experience, strong English, and a degree in CS/Software Engineering.

Qualifications

At least 8 years of professional experience.
Advanced proficiency in English (minimum B2 level in speaking, writing, listening, and reading).
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Expertise in Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Proficiency with testing tools such as PyTest or Unittest.
Experience with test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD).
Strong knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture using technologies such as Kafka, Redis, or Celery.
Hands-on experience in designing, building, and scaling microservices.
Proficiency in API design patterns (RESTful APIs, GraphQL).
Familiarity with containerization and container management using Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Linux systems, including scripting and system management.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with additional programming languages (Go, Java, or Rust) is a plus.
Experience with secure coding practices and knowledge of cybersecurity principles.

Responsibilities

Develop scalable back-end solutions written with clean, maintainable code.
Design, build, and enhance microservices and RESTful/GraphQL APIs for seamless integration.
Implement and maintain testing frameworks to ensure high code quality (PyTest/Unittest).
Work with distributed, event-driven architectures using Kafka, Redis, or Celery.
Use Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Ansible to deploy and manage resources.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
Collaborate in sprint planning, peer reviews, and team discussions to improve development processes.
Create and maintain clear documentation for architecture, processes, and best practices.
