Job summary

Wypoon Technologies, a Dutch/Belgian client-facing tech partner, seeks a seasoned Python Software Engineer to craft scalable back-end services and microservices. You will shape APIs (REST/GraphQL) and implement robust testing within a fast-paced DevOps team.

Expect hands-on work with distributed systems (Kafka/Redis), IaC (Terraform/Ansible), and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) across AWS/Azure/GCP clouds. Strong communication in English required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience as a backend or Python-focused engineer.
• Proficiency in Python with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Solid testing discipline with PyTest or Unittest, and exposure to TDD/BDD.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Redis, Celery).
• Experience with microservices, API design (REST/GraphQL), and scalable architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ability to write secure, well-documented code and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable back-end solutions and microservices.
• Design and improve REST/GraphQL APIs for enterprise use.
• Implement robust testing frameworks (PyTest/Unittest).
• Contribute to distributed systems using Kafka/Redis/Celery.
• Use IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible and manage cloud deployments.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
