Job summary

Wypoon Technologies, a Dutch/Belgian client-facing tech partner, seeks a seasoned Python Software Engineer to craft scalable back-end services and microservices. You will shape APIs (REST/GraphQL) and implement robust testing within a fast-paced DevOps team.

Expect hands-on work with distributed systems (Kafka/Redis), IaC (Terraform/Ansible), and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) across AWS/Azure/GCP clouds. Strong communication in English required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience as a backend or Python-focused engineer.
• Proficiency in Python with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Solid testing discipline with PyTest or Unittest, and exposure to TDD/BDD.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Redis, Celery).
• Experience with microservices, API design (REST/GraphQL), and scalable architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ability to write secure, well-documented code and strong communication skills.

Microservices and APIs: Design, build, and enhance microservices and RESTful/GraphQL APIs to enable seamless system integration. Testing frameworks: Implement and maintain tools such as PyTest and Unittest to ensure high code quality. Distributed systems: Work with event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka and Redis. Infrastructure-as-Code: Use tools like Terraform or Ansible to deploy and manage resources. DevOps practices: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure/AWS). Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, peer reviews, and team discussions to continuously improve development processes. Documentation: Create and update clear and comprehensive documentation for architecture, processes, and best practices. Preferred Experience At least 8 years of professional experience. Advanced proficiency in English (minimum B2 level in speaking, writing, listening, and reading). A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Expertise in Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. Proficiency with testing tools such as PyTest or Unittest. Experience with test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD). Strong knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture using echnologies such as Kafka, Redis, or Celery. Hands-on experience in designing, building, and scaling microservices. Proficiency in API design patterns (e.g., RESTful APIs, GraphQL). Familiarity with containerization and container management using Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with Linux systems, including scripting and system management. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Familiarity with additional programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, or Rust) is a plus.
