Job summary

Hitachi Energy The Netherlands B.V. in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Project Controller to act as the financial lead on large, multi-stakeholder projects ranging USD 50M–200M.

You will drive profitability, governance, and performance across the project lifecycle from tender handover to completion. The role requires strong knowledge of project accounting, forecasting, and risk management, with fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• Significant experience in project controlling or project finance.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Act as financial lead for complex projects, driving performance and margins.
• Manage financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage risks/opportunities, ensuring proactive actions to protect margins.
• Support tender handovers and capture lessons learned for future projects.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, governance, and audit standards.
• Monitor schedules, resources, and dependencies to improve project performance.
