Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Global Acquiring in Amsterdam. You will own the strategy and roadmap for key parts of our acquiring platform, collaborating with engineering, payments networks, partnerships, and commercial teams to deliver scalable, reliable payments capabilities.

You will enable improvements in authorization rates, merchant conversion, and platform scalability while shaping how Adyen expands into new markets and capabilities across the global payments landscape.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Product Management experience building complex software products.
• Domain knowledge in Payments or Fintech, preferably with knowledge of card acquiring.
• Experience leading highly cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, commercial teams, partnerships, and external partners.
• Ability to translate highly technical payment infrastructure into clear product strategies and measurable outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset and data-driven prioritization.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and turning complex problems into scalable product solutions.
• Excellent communication to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
• A focus on building products that create measurable value for merchants while strengthening the platform.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for a critical area of Adyen's Global Acquiring.
• Build scalable acquiring capabilities that improve payment performance, increase authorization rates, and maximize merchant conversion.
• Partner with Visa, Mastercard, AmEx and other networks to influence roadmaps, implement capabilities, and ensure compliance.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives across Engineering, Partnerships, Commercial, Compliance, Operations and Product teams.
• Translate evolving scheme requirements into scalable platform capabilities rather than one-off solutions.
• Use data to identify opportunities that improve merchant performance and platform scalability.
• Lead difficult product decisions through influence and aligning stakeholders without direct authority.
• Mentor other product managers and raise overall product management quality within the organization.
