Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Global Manager for the Payments Partner Engineering team. You will lead a global group of Payment Partner Engineers to ensure integration health, reliability, and performance across the merchant portfolio.

You will shape strategy, drive proactive collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams, and build scalable processes and tools. The role combines leadership, payments domain depth, and API-based integration experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of direct line management experience of technical or hybrid technical/operational teams.
• Solid understanding of payments and API-based payment flows.
• Ability to engage credibly with engineers and technical partners without being a hands-on coder.
• Proven experience driving operational improvements and building scalable processes.
• Strong communicator with cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a global team of Payment Partner Engineers.
• Define and drive a vision for the Payments Partner Engineering function.
• Own integration health across Adyen's payment methods with reliability and performance accountability.
• Drive strategic architectural recommendations for partner integrations.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Compliance, and Reliability teams to align on priorities.
• Establish and maintain direct relationships with payment partners at senior levels, including QBRs and escalations.
• Use planning processes to secure resources and align with senior stakeholders on direction.
