Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Domestic Card Schemes in Amsterdam. You will shape how merchants are paid regionally, focusing on local card schemes, and drive strategic topics beyond core card methods.

You will own relationships with scheme operators, write clear requirements for connections, tokenisation, Tap to Pay, and authentication flows, and lead cross-functional initiatives across time zones and markets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience in payments or fintech.
• Strong understanding of card processing and how schemes, acquirers, hosts and terminals fit together.
• Technical credibility: read API and message specs (ISO 8583 or similar) and discuss architecture with engineers.
• Strategic thinking: turn open-ended questions into direction and roadmap.
• Strong stakeholder skills with external partners and schemes.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and roadmap: define vision for domestic card schemes and influence payment method portfolio.
• Own scheme and partner relationships: manage alignment with operators and partners.
• Drive delivery: write product requirements and work with engineering on connections and authentication flows.
• Lead cross-payment-method initiatives as priorities evolve.
• Make the commercial case: collaborate with sales and pricing, define success metrics.
• Lead through influence across engineering, payments, partnerships and operations.
