Job summary

TMF Group is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to own end-to-end payroll delivery for an international client base. You will ensure accuracy and compliance in Dutch payroll and leverage your expertise to coach junior staff.

In a hybrid work setup, you will collaborate across HR Administration, Client Service and international teams, applying automation to streamline processes and improve outcomes while maintaining high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in end-to-end payroll delivery.
• Must hold a recognised PDL payroll qualification.
• VPS qualification is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch payroll legislation.
• Experience with international and expatriate payrolls is advantageous.
• Strong MS 365 skills: Excel, Word, Copilot, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience with AFAS Payroll Cloud is preferred.
• Fluent English and Dutch (written and spoken).
• Excellent attention to detail, compliance focus and client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex monthly payrolls end to end for international clients.
• Review input, challenge inaccuracies, generate reports and validate outputs.
• Coach Junior and Medior Payroll Officers and perform quality reviews.
• Stay updated on Dutch payroll legislation, pensions and regs.
• Oversee payroll onboarding for new clients and year-end activities.
• Collaborate with HR, Client Service and international teams; engage in process improvements.
• Use AI/automation to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
• Support client calls and respond to payroll queries promptly.
