JGA Recruitment Group Ltd in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Manager to lead the Netherlands payroll function within a fully remote, international business.

You will manage a payroll team, ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery, and collaborate with internal stakeholders, outsourced providers and vendors to drive automation and process improvements while staying compliant with Dutch legislation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing Netherlands payroll operations.
• Experience leading and developing payroll teams.
• Strong understanding of Dutch payroll legislation, compliance and statutory reporting.
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and managing vendor relationships.
• Exposure to international payroll implementations and global payroll best practices.
• Proficient with payroll systems; SAP advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and an interest in automation and process improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

Responsabilités

• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes through automation, technology and operational efficiencies.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs and performance standards to ensure consistently high levels of service.
• Support wider international payroll initiatives, implementations and operational improvements.

We are working with a leading global payroll and employment technology business that is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Operations Manager to lead its Netherlands payroll function.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing international organisation, taking ownership of payroll operations, managing an established team and driving improvements across payroll delivery, compliance and processes.

The business operates globally and offers a fully remote working environment, with a strong focus on innovation, automation and employee development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of payroll professionals, providing support and guidance while encouraging ownership and accountability.
• Oversee end-to-end Netherlands payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll delivery.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, external partners and third-party payroll providers.
• Maintain compliance with Dutch payroll legislation, statutory requirements and internal policies.
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors and external service providers.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience leading and developing payroll teams.
• Strong understanding of Dutch payroll legislation, compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and managing vendor relationships.
• Exposure to international payroll implementations and global payroll best practices.
• Confident using payroll systems, with SAP experience advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and an interest in automation and process improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently within a fast-paced, fully remote international business.
