Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking an Expert PayPal freelancer based in the Netherlands to own PayPal capabilities across multiple SaaS products.

You will deploy, stabilize, and optimize recurring payments while collaborating with payment, tech, and product teams to improve checkout performance on desktop and mobile. You will lead integration efforts, manage timelines, and document processes for knowledge transfer across teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience working on payment-related projects, senior level.
Proven experience integrating PayPal in production environments for recurring or subscription payments.
Advanced knowledge of PayPal REST APIs, PPCP, Reference Transactions, and vaulting.
Strong understanding of PayPal sandbox environments, webhooks, and dispute-management processes.
Experience with a billing orchestrator is a strong advantage.
Professional fluency in English; fluent French as the primary working language.

Responsibilities

Audit and improve PayPal integrations for reliability, performance, and payment flows.
Implement and stabilize recurring PayPal payment capabilities across priority SaaS products.
Lead deployment of PayPal solutions across multiple products with varied contexts.
Optimize the PayPal checkout experience on desktop and mobile.
Monitor and improve payment success and subscription renewal rates.
Support payment risk, compliance, and dispute-management initiatives.
Document integrations and transfer knowledge to internal teams.
