Job summary

Nevesbu, a naval architecture and marine engineering company in the Netherlands, seeks a Naval Architect to work on submarines, FPSO conversions, and complex system integration. You will develop technical specifications, draw designs, and perform stability, weight management, and hydro-structural analyses, while producing 2D and 3D representations and leading concept design tasks.

You will manage diverse projects, stay current with industry developments, and may undergo VGB-B security screening

Qualifications

• A completed bachelor’s degree in Maritime Engineering or Naval Architecture.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience and specialist knowledge of concept and basic design.
• Ability to manage large, complex maritime projects and maintain an overview.
• Always up to date with the latest developments in the field and how the company can respond to them.
• A VGB-B security screening may be part of the application procedure.

Responsibilities

• Design technical specifications and draw up designs.
• Perform stability, speed-power/resistance, weight management, and hydro-structural analyses.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Contribute to the conceptual and basic design of various ships.
• Conduct inclining tests, deadweight surveys, and on-board laser scans.
