Job summary

FairPlay Engineering in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Engineer Secondary - High Voltage to lead the design of secondary systems for HV substations and contribute to critical energy projects.

You will translate requirements into detailed designs, develop protection, control, SCADA, and monitoring solutions, and ensure compliance with standards and safety across concept to execution.

Collaborate with experienced engineers and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-evolving sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's HBO degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing HV/MV systems.
• Strong knowledge of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs into detailed technical designs and project plans.
• Design secondary systems for HV substations, including protection, control, SCADA, and monitoring.
• Develop and verify engineering solutions per standards, specs, and regulations.
• Prepare and validate calculations, drawings, and execution packages.
• Support Lead Engineer throughout concept to detailed execution.
• Identify design challenges and support quality checks.
