Job summary

Anonymous in Rotterdam seeks a Senior (Design) Engineer to design high-voltage substations from start to finish, assuming technical responsibility for HV projects (110 kV–380 kV). You may lead a team or work independently depending on project scope.

You will coordinate engineers, prepare system documentation, specifications, proposals, schedules and tender docs, while ensuring QA and budget control and supervising external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (HBO) or Master’s (WO) degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in the technical supervision of projects.
• Recent work experience with grid operators and/or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
• Experience with UAV-GC and Systems Engineering is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of high-voltage substations from preparatory phase to realization.
• Coordinate and motivate engineers; allocate tasks and manage schedules.
• Prepare system documentation, functional and technical specifications, proposals, reports and tender specs.
• Oversee quality assurance, identify bottlenecks, and initiate improvements.
• Monitor budgets and review post-project cost calculations; supervise outsourced work.
