Job summary

FairPlay Engineering in the Netherlands is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to develop HV and MV concepts and infrastructure for mission critical facilities and large data centers. You will drive power delivery architectures that ensure uptime and scalable redundancy.

You will design redundancy architectures, coordinate with grid operators and utilities, and lead multidisciplinary teams through concept and detailed engineering to deliver robust, scalable power systems for facilities that

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience with HV and MV electrical systems.
• Experience with substations, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution networks.
• Experience working with utilities, TSOs, DSOs, or grid operators on connection strategies.
• Strong understanding of redundancy concepts including N, N+1, 2N, and dual power paths.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop HV and MV electrical concepts and power distribution architectures for data centers and mission critical facilities.
• Support grid connection strategies and coordinate with utility providers, TSOs, and DSOs.
• Define electrical distribution architectures and power supply concepts ensuring reliability and redundancy.
• Develop and review substation interfaces, transformer configurations, switchgear arrangements, and power distribution systems.
• Advise on redundancy and resilience strategies including N, N+1, 2N, and dual power paths.
• Perform power system studies, load assessments, and technical evaluations across project phases.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering projects across multiple phases and stakeholders.
• Review electrical designs to ensure reliability, maintainability, and long-term resilience.
