Job summary

FairPlay Engineering in the Netherlands seeks an experienced Cable Engineer to design and deliver high-voltage cable infrastructure across Europe. You will act as a technical expert, develop cable layouts, perform calculations, and advise clients and project teams throughout the engineering lifecycle.

The role involves contributing to proposals, ensuring compliance with European standards, and sharing knowledge to support project teams. A focus on safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience within Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience with high-voltage cable engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage cable systems and associated infrastructure.
• Experience designing and calculating high-voltage cable connections.
• Ability to develop cable layouts and technical engineering solutions.
• Experience performing engineering calculations and preparing technical proposals.
• Strong understanding of European standards, regulations, and legislation related to cable engineering.
• Ability to act as a technical expert and key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and analytical mindset.
• Commitment to engineering quality, safety, and industry best practices.
• Ability to share knowledge and support the technical development of project teams.
• Experience working on transmission, grid expansion, or energy infrastructure projects is considered an advantage.
