Job summary

Ligentia is expanding its commercial leadership in the Netherlands, driving profitable growth across international trade lanes from Rotterdam. You will own a high-value customer portfolio, lead a small team, and close full sales cycles with cross-functional partners to engineer tailored supply chain solutions.

The role requires deep GP and pricing acumen, a robust network of procurement contacts, and the ability to own targets in a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifications

• Substantial commercial experience in international freight forwarding or logistics.
• Proven track record in acquiring new business and building a portfolio.
• Experience leading or coaching commercial teams with targets.
• Strong GP, margins, pricing and profitability management.
• Strong knowledge of international trade flows and freight markets.
• Active network of procurement heads and supply chain decision-makers.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-oriented with ownership of targets.
• Fluent in English; Dutch fluency highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute targeted commercial strategies across international trade lanes.
• Build, manage, and grow your own customer portfolio, driving retention and share of wallet across strategic accounts.
• Line manage, coach, and support a small team.
• Lead complete commercial sales cycles from prospecting through negotiation to closing, collaborating with operations and pricing to engineer profitable solutions.
• Take direct accountability for customer profitability, margin management, and overall Gross Profit growth.
• Establish strong relationships with C-suite supply chain decision-makers and procurement leads, representing Ligentia as a senior commercial leader.
