Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Service Engineer to deliver high-quality service solutions across the full lifecycle of installed systems. You will work onsite in the Netherlands, performing commissioning, maintenance, and upgrades while ensuring safety and reliability.

You will diagnose issues, engage with customers, and provide training and guidance, ensuring strong relationships and satisfaction. Must travel frequently to customer sites and handle outages or complex installations.

Qualifications

Hands-on field service experience in industrial, electrical, automation or power systems environments.
2015-2025 experience preferred with complex installations, commissioning and lifecycle service.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Travel frequently and work on customer sites, including on-call/outage support.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on complex systems and equipment.
Diagnose root causes of technical issues and implement corrective actions.
Execute service activities with adherence to safety and quality standards.
Act as the main technical interface for customers during service execution and follow-up.
Support customer training, technical briefings, and on-site guidance.
Provide technical explanations, recommendations, and improvement proposals to customers.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures, contractual requirements, and regulations.
Contribute to service quotations, upgrades, and retrofit opportunities.
Coordinate with service coordinators, project managers, engineering, and supply chain to ensure efficient execution.
Maintain strong customer relationships and high satisfaction.
