Hitachi Energy The Netherlands B.V. is seeking a Service Commissioning Engineer to install, test, and maintain high-voltage transformers and substation equipment. You will work directly with customers across the Netherlands from Rotterdam, delivering safe, reliable energy solutions.

Role requires 2+ years in HV service/commissioning, strong fault-diagnosis skills, and fluency in Dutch and English. Willingness to travel is essential, with opportunities for growth into senior technical roles.

Qualifications

• Formal MBO-4 or HBO in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in service, commissioning, maintenance or testing in a high-voltage environment.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with electrical fault diagnosis, test equipment and relevant software.
• Fluent Dutch and English; capable of safe communication in both languages.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Netherlands and occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, installation, testing and maintenance of high-voltage transformers and electrical systems.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, upgrades and fault analyses on transformer and substation equipment.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and fault-finding in electrical and control systems, including protection relays and MV installations.
• Provide customers with technical advice and support with a focus on quality and service.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to improve reliability and performance.
• Prepare service and commissioning reports according to company standards.
• Ensure all work complies with Hitachi Energy safety standards and applicable laws.
• Build and maintain durable customer relationships through professionalism and technical expertise.
