Job summary

Panda International is expanding its Engineering Solutions offering and seeks a Senior Business Developer to drive growth. You will own the commercial journey from discovery to close, identifying engineering projects and turning client needs into project-based solutions.

With 3–4 years in Life Sciences, you will build a pipeline, engage senior stakeholders across Engineering, Projects and Procurement, and collaborate with recruitment teams to deliver talent and delivery capacity.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of professional experience within the Life Sciences industry.
• Strong Business Development experience within Engineering, Technical Services, Consulting or related B2B environment.
• A strong, active engineering network and the ability to turn relationships into commercial opportunities.
• Proven track record of winning new clients and generating revenue.
• Experience selling complex, project-based or solution-led services.
• Strong understanding of engineering environments and how organisations resource and deliver major projects.
• Credibility to engage senior Engineering, Project, Operations and Procurement stakeholders.
• Consultative approach to uncover underlying business challenges.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles through to close.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, CRM and forecasting discipline.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and autonomy to build a developing market.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business across Panda's target engineering markets and build a strong pipeline of project-based opportunities.
• Build and leverage relationships with senior stakeholders across Engineering, Projects, Operations and Procurement.
• Understand clients' project roadmaps, technical challenges and capability gaps and turn them into commercial opportunities.
• Sell project-based engineering solutions, moving beyond vacancies to understand client delivery needs.
• Own the commercial cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation and close.
• Qualify opportunities based on client need, commercial viability and delivery feasibility.
• Work with Panda's recruitment teams to translate secured projects into clearly scoped talent and delivery requirements.
• Grow strategic accounts by identifying further projects, teams and locations where Panda can add value.
• Turn market developments into new pipeline and opportunities.
• Feed client and market insights back to shape Panda's Engineering Solutions offering.
