Job summary

Panda International in Leiden, Netherlands, seeks a Project Engineer – Project Lead Pillar to drive engineering projects across a cross-functional team. The role blends technical execution with leadership on project scope, schedules, and budgets.

You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, ensure compliance with applicable standards, and guide projects from feasibility through closure. On-site, 40 hours per week, 12 months with potential extension.

Qualifications

• University/Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
• Trained FPX Project Lead.
• VCA-VOL Qualification (Diploma).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify gaps and develop solutions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Act as Core Team Member in medium/high complexity projects, coordinating engineering scope with other engineers.
• Provide technical support for project planning, development, implementation, and modification.
• Exercise independent judgment on significant details of work and select engineering alternatives.
• Manage progress and quality with external engineering firms, on-site contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate modifications with stakeholders and participate in Management of Change (MOC).
• Manage medium-complexity capital investment projects from feasibility to closure.
