Alfen B.V. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the R&D & Engineering Department. You will develop advanced software for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and lead technical decisions across the full development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to architecture, and drive continuous improvement while staying ahead with emerging technologies to accelerate the energy transition.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related.
At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
Experience with Energy Storage Systems (ESS) or industrial systems is preferred.
Experience in an Agile software development environment.
Strong communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Develop advanced software for Alfen's Energy Storage Systems (ESS) across the full SDLC.
Translate complex requirements into robust, scalable software solutions.
Contribute to software architecture and technical decisions within the team.
Lead code reviews, knowledge sessions, and improve development processes.
Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, test, and product management teams.
