Job summary

S&T in Delft seeks a Senior Flight Software Engineer to join an expert team developing on-board software for satellites. You will design, develop and verify real-time software that routes and processes data across interfaces, supporting mission critical tasks.

The role requires 10+ years in embedded software, experience with Linux/RTOS, CCSDS/ECSS protocols (CFDP/PUS), and proficiency in C/C++ and Python; on-site work in Delft with limited remote options.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in embedded/low-level software development.
• Experience with real-time applications (Linux/RTOS).
• Experience with spacecraft flight software or comparable vehicle software requiring high reliability.
• Familiar with CCSDS and ECSS space protocols such as CFDP and PUS.
• Proficient in C, C++, and Python; experience with Rust.

Responsibilities

• Develop code that integrates complex interfaces and routes data between them.
• Design software architecture that optimizes performance within hardware constraints.
• Support systems engineering with requirement generation and flow-down.
