Job summary

Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American, part of the Dalata Hotel Group, seeks a Senior Chef de Parti Garde to lead the cold section and mentor the kitchen team. You’ll craft high-quality dishes, ensure HACCP standards, and contribute to menu development in a fast-paced, iconic Amsterdam restaurant.

You’ll work with a passionate team in a 4-star hotel environment, delivering exceptional guest experiences while upholding culinary excellence and consistency across Café Americain and Bar Americain.

Qualifications

• Culinary training - MBO Level 2 or higher (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience in a professional kitchen.
• Solid knowledge of core cooking techniques, food safety standards, allergens, and food trends.
• Leadership, organisation, and time management during busy service.
• Team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cold Section with precision, care and confidence.
• Oversee mise en place, daily prep, and storage following FIFO and HACCP.
• Coach, mentor and supervise junior chefs and collaborate with Sous/Head Chef.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety across the kitchen.
