Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to be based in Sassenheim on a 16/7 shift, 37.3 hours per week, supporting a newly commissioned biotech site and the Leiden maintenance department. You will keep production equipment, utilities safe, reliable and operational, collaborating across teams.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, root-cause analyses, and mentoring junior technicians, with GMP and safety compliance at the forefront; the position offers a 26.19% shift

Qualifications

• MBO 3/4 level or VAPRO B/C in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Measurement & Control Technology.
• 3–8 years of hands‑on experience in a maintenance or technical environment with proven ability to locate, analyze, and resolve malfunctions.
• Practical proficiency with CMMS and MS Office for recording maintenance activities and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment and utility installations, and formally hand over completed work to equipment/utility owners to maintain production continuity.
• Lead advanced second-line troubleshooting and analyze complex failures, sharing clear findings with colleagues and contractors to reduce repeat downtime.
• Lead and participate in root cause investigations and reliability improvement initiatives, proposing and implementing changes that increase equipment availability.
• Record troubleshooting results, fault trees, code analysis, and materials used in the CMMS; determine spare part needs and manage parts retrieval to minimize delays.
• Set priorities with operations, support and coordinate external service providers during maintenance activities, and contribute to installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
• Mentor less experienced technicians, maintain accurate maintenance documentation, perform periodic checks and LOTO activities, and ensure all work follows safety, compliance, and GMP standards.
