Job summary

Sympower is seeking an Origination Director to accelerate growth of large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the Nordics. You will own senior relationships with developers, utilities, and investors, driving end-to-end deal processes from first engagement to signature.

The role offers remote flexibility with travel, reporting to Head of Origination, and a focus on route-to-market services and revenue-sharing structures across Europe.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in energy origination, commercial development, or structured sales.
• Proven track record of originating and closing high-value contracts with utilities, IPPs, or funds.
• Strong understanding of battery storage economics and revenue structures.

Responsibilities

• Build, qualify, and close a high-quality pipeline of large-scale BESS projects.
• Lead LOI/term sheet through contract execution with senior counterparties.
• Develop senior relationships with developers, utilities, funds, and investors.
• Lead commercial negotiations for route-to-market agreements and floor structures.
• Collaborate with Trading & Legal on pricing, risk analysis, and deal structuring.
• Maintain disciplined funnel with forecasting of MW/MWh and timelines.
