Job summary

Enemix, a renewable energy IPP, is expanding its Netherlands and Belgium delivery capability. They seek a senior delivery lead to own end-to-end delivery of utility-scale BESS projects from pre-construction through to operational readiness, across NL and BE, with support from an engineer and a path to lead the delivery function.

You will coordinate design, interface with OEMs, BoP, grid operators, and stakeholders, manage risk, cost, schedule, and ensure compliance, with a hybrid Amsterdam-based

Qualifications

• Proven delivery of at least one large-scale infrastructure project from pre-construction into construction.
• Solid engineering background, with a structured, fact-based approach.
• Experience in large-scale solar, wind, or comparable infrastructure.
• Ability to own the delivery phase and drive design into build.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Direct utility-scale BESS delivery experience.
• Familiarity with the Dutch/Belgian grid connection and permitting landscape.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors and advisors through execution.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of utility-scale BESS delivery from pre-construction through construction, commissioning and handover to operational readiness.
• Drive the design process through into construction, keeping technical decisions moving and grounded in engineering.
• Manage the technical and commercial interfaces between BESS OEMs, BoP contractors, HV/MV vendors, grid operators and owner’s engineers.
• Own programme, cost, quality, HSE and interface risk across each project.
• Review contractor deliverables, specifications, method statements, testing and commissioning plans, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Coordinate with DSO and TSO stakeholders on grid integration, energisation and compliance.
• Support and develop the engineer already in place, building out the delivery team over time.

Overview

Our client is a renewable energy IPP and one of the early movers in utility-scale battery storage, having delivered its first BESS project back in 2014. They design, build, operate and optimise grid-scale solar and storage, and they are now scaling their delivery capability across the Netherlands and Belgium, backed by strong institutional investment.

This is a business that builds assets to own and run over the long term, not simply to sell them on. That long-term view shapes how they deliver: carefully, technically, and with more than a decade of project lessons behind them.

Why they are hiring

The Northern European pipeline is growing quickly. With grid secured and around 500MW to build before 2031 across the two markets, they need a senior delivery lead to take live projects from pre-construction through to operational readiness. You would own that delivery phase, with an engineer already in place to support you and a clear route to lead the technical delivery function as the portfolio grows.

The opportunity

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of utility-scale BESS projects across the Netherlands and Belgium, picking projects up as they move out of development and driving them through construction, commissioning and handover.

• A background in large-scale ground-mounted solar or onshore wind, or comparable large-scale infrastructure
• The confidence to own the full delivery phase and drive design into build
• Fluent Dutch and English
• Direct utility-scale BESS delivery experience
• Familiarity with the Dutch and Belgian grid connection and permitting landscape
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors and advisors through execution
