Job summary

8R is seeking an experienced Lead Business Development (m/f/d) with a focus on Critical Infrastructure Protection to drive Europe-wide growth in defense and high-tech solutions. Responsibilities include building strategic relationships with government authorities, defense organizations, airports, critical infrastructure operators and OEMs; managing the full sales and bid process.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or comparable field, or equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years in Business Development, Sales, Government Sales or Capture Management in Defense/Security.
• Proven track record selling complex technology systems (e.g., C-UAS, C2, Detection, Air Defense).
• Experience developing and managing Capture and Bid strategies; understanding critical infrastructure requirements.
• Experience with Defense procurement processes involving Ministries of Defense, NATO or leading defense integrators.
• Fluent English, plus German or French; willingness to travel across Europe and relocate if required.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for Business Development across Europe in Vital Asset Protection and Critical Infrastructure.
• Build strategic relationships with government authorities, defense organizations, airports, critical infrastructure operators, OEMs and industry partners.
• Manage the full sales and acquisition process from identifying opportunities to bid strategies and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with Management, Engineering, Program Management and Legal to develop proposals and programs.
• Represent the company at international Defense, Aviation and Security trade shows, conferences, and working groups.
