Jobgether is listing a Senior Backend Engineer (Orchestration) on behalf of a partner company based in the Netherlands. The role focuses on designing and implementing core backend services for high-performance distributed systems, with emphasis on orchestration and scalable architecture.

You will collaborate across teams to improve developer experience for customers and integration partners, while adopting TDD/BDD practices.

Qualifications

• Experience designing backend services for distributed systems.
• Ability to build developer frameworks and integrations.
• Strong communication and autonomous work approach.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core backend services for high-performance distributed systems.
• Take ownership of key technical decisions balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability and delivery speed.
• Build and optimize backend architecture to support evolving product requirements and business growth.
• Write clean, well-tested code following engineering standards.
• Apply test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) where appropriate.
• Develop and improve frameworks, tools, and workflows enabling integrations for customers and partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with user and business needs.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for long-term maintainability.
• Improve payment workflows and developer experience for merchants and partners.
